Iyengar Yoga,a great practice for vocalists…

I’ve had a yoga practice for many years now, working with different styles, and finding different values in every one of them. I have found the practice of  Iyengar Yoga one of the most valuable for singers because of the great attention to detail and precise attention on body alignment.There’s a great use of yoga props to have the poses done correctly, and I find the pranayama, (breath work), to be valuable. How this translates to vocalists is awareness of a good posture, a focus on the breath,(which I think many singers could benefit from), strength, concentration, and flexibility. All of these elements combine to make this A GREAT PRACTICE FOR VOCALISTS!
